About Tachometers
Tachometers are instruments designed to measure the rotation speed of a shaft or disk and are most commonly used in cars, trucks, tractors, and aircraft.
They can also be used on other machinery outside of the vehicle industry, and are commonly used in industrial applications to measure whether machinery is operating at the correct levels of efficiency. Sudden increases or drops in RPM (Revolutions per Minute) can indicate machines running too slowly or perhaps working too hard and inefficiently.
