The Fluke 820-2 LED Stroboscope is used for performing extensive stop-motion diagnostics on rotating machinery without the need to make direct contact.
With the Fluke 820-2, you'll be able to easily determine parasitic oscillations, slippage and unwanted distortions, making this stroboscope highly useful for a wide variety of applications including belt-driven machines, roller bearings, shafts, gear teeth, other machinery components, clutches and cogwheels, foundations (resonance vibration), cable/piping wear and damage and much more.
Stroboscopes are much more efficient than standard laser tachometers; by using a strobe system you don't need to make a mark on the system you're testing to measure. Instead, the stroboscope gives the illusion of 'stopping' the rotating of the machinery, allowing measurements down to 30RPM (FPM) and higher.
The Fluke 820-2 caters for practically any application thanks to its adjustable flash duration. This is ideally suited for applications with higher RPM or larger, rotating objects with high surface speeds. Reducing the flash period increases the image quality, ensuring measurements are as accurate as possible.
Fluke 820-2 LED Stroboscope Key Features
- Check the rotating speed of machinery, components and other applications without physical contact
- No reflective tape required - much more efficient than a traditional laser tachometer
- High intensity, 7 LED array - 4,800 lux @ 6000 FPM/30cm
- High efficiency LED solid-state light source with uniform flash characteristics allows for higher flash rates from 30 to 300,000 FPM (flashes per minute)
- Digital pulse width modulation for exceptionally sharp images at high speeds
- Rugged, durable design with solid-state LEDs with no filaments, gases, hollow cavities or glass (protected against drops up to a height of 1m)
- Quartz accuracy control system - accuracy of 0.02% (±1 digit)
- Multi-line LCD display
- Advance or retard flash timing for viewing gear teeth, cutting surfaces, repeats or 'drifting' equipment
- Simple, push button operation with 2x and divide by 2 buttons for easy adjustments
