Extech RPM10 Combination Tachometer + IR Thermometer

Despite its small size, this tachometer is packed full of measurement capabilities. It is suitable for carrying out both photo and contact measurements of RPM and linear surface speed and can also be used to accurately determine the surface temperature of motors or other moving parts. The RPM10 is therefore suitable for any application where measuring and keeping RPM/temperature in check is of the utmost importance and is a quick and easy way to perform comprehensive RPM testing procedures.

When measuring RPM this device features measurement range of 10 to 99999 for photo (non-contact) and 0.5 to 20000 for contact. The IR beam integrated into the device is dual capability and is used to measure both non-contact RPM and the overall temperature via the use of IR technology. The measurement range when calculating temperature is from -4 to 600°F with 6:1 targeting ratio.

Measurements using the devices' laser beam during non-contact measurements enhance the user's safety by alllowing the device to be used up to 2m (6.5ft) away from the targeted piece of machinery. This is essential for many types of fast-moving machinery which isn't suitable for testing via the use of contact measurements.
