Chauvin Arnoux PEL FAQs

Does the PEL range come with software?

Yes, power and energy loggers from Chauvin Arnoux come with free PEL Transfer software. DataView is available, but it is, generally, an additional fee.

Will a PEL Power-Energy Logger save me money?

To measure the financial benefit of upgrading your system, an energy load study is key. This compares the efficiency of your old system against the new one. By analysing load data both before and after installation, we can build a comprehensive picture of the energy savings achieved, providing a clear Return on Investment (ROI) assessment. The PEL104 and PEL106 come with a built in energy cost calculation.

Can I use a Chauvin Arnoux PEL to do a load study?

Yes, the PEL50 and PEL100 Series can be used to analyse a specific system's energy consumption patterns and demands. Utilise data acquisition, statistical analysis, and engineering principles to understand load profile, analyse power quality, and identify optimisation opportunities.

How can I interface with the PEL Series?

The Chauvin Arnoux PEL 51/52 are Wi-Fi only, PEL 102/103 ethernet only and PEL 104/106 can do both Wi-fi and ethernet. All PEL models can connect via USB and Bluetooth.

Are the Chauvin Arnoux PEL series TRMS?

All PEL models are capable of TRMS current and voltage measurements.

Can IT network security get in the way?

Without an IRD (Internet Relay Device) a network administrator may need to help. However, the DataView data processing platform from Chauvin Arnoux makes it easy for users to access all the data from their PEL50 and PEL100 power and energy loggers using a PC or tablet. This is possible thanks to an Ethernet link with an IRD server hosted by Chauvin Arnoux and connected to the internet. This functionality is available to all owners of PEL50 & PEL100 power and energy loggers.
