Experience
David Atkins is PASS Ltd’s resident thermal imaging specialist. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in the thermography market and a qualified Level 1 and OGI (Gas) Thermographer, he can answer anything thermal camera related. He has a strong interest in energy-saving applications and ecology, and loves nothing more than helping maintenance teams identify problems using the latest test and measurement equipment.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. A keen fisherman and nature enthusiast, he can often be found casting a line on many of the UK’s lakes and rivers.
Qualification: ITC Thermography Category I Certification (ISO18436)

Expert in thermal cameras and for applications such as; predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, energy saving, net zero emissions, gas leak detection, damp/mould detection, fire detection, bat surveying and renewables. Other applications include monoculars for outdoors and rifle scopes for wildlife and hunting.
Acoustic & Ultrasonic Imaging
Early adopter of acoustic imagers for partial discharge, corona and compressed air leak detection.
Test & Measurement
A wealth of knowledge in test equipment for applications such as; power quality, cable avoidance, high voltage testing, live line safety and all aspects of electrical testing.
