Save energy and save money on your utility bills while helping to protect the environment by using the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger to optimise energy efficiency. This portable energy logger housed in an all-terrain, IP67-rated casing is ideal for monitoring and logging electrical parameters needed for energy consumption diagnostics. It is suitable for measuring all network types, including single-, split-, and three-phase systems, without cutting off the mains supply.
For an introduction to the benefits of Chauvin Arnoux's PELs, please watch our PASS Presents Video.
Equipped with four voltage inputs and four current channels, the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger will automatically recognise the connected sensor and is capable of measuring the following electrical parameters as per the IEEE 1459 standard:
In addition to this, it can calculate total harmonic distortion for voltage and current and features an Alarm mode with user-defined limits, an events log, and an email alert.
Voltage and current ratios facilitate the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger’s wide measurement range. It delivers RMS and DC measurements (50Hz, 60Hz, and 400Hz) with 128 samples/ cycles simultaneously on each phase. In addition to this, it supports analogue readings.
When used with remote L452 Loggers, the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger can measure and record temperature, pressure, and engine torque, allowing you to refine your analysis and troubleshooting. Support for analogue measurements makes the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger ideal for applications involving new energies such as wind.
The Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger offers continuous monitoring: data is recorded to its SD card, which has the capacity to store several years’ worth of data. Measurements may be logged at intervals of 200ms.
Readings can be accessed using one of five communication interfaces: USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G/GPRS. The new 3G/GPRS mode enables remote communication: a SIM card is inserted in the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger and connected to via GSM.
Measurements can also be viewed via an IRD server. This is useful when protective measures on IT servers makes accessing data too complex.
Once data has been downloaded to a PC, Chauvin Arnoux’s PEL Transfer Software can be used to analyse data and provide an automatic breakdown of the losses detected. In addition to this, it will calculate the cost of the power consumed and provide the result in your local currency.
Chauvin Arnoux’s DataView Software (sold separately) can be used to create reports, including customised reports based on user-set alarm thresholds.
Measurements are visible on the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger’s backlit, quadruple digital display with an LCD screen. This portable energy logger is self-powered via its voltage inputs up to 1000V, removing the possibility of battery problems.
Finally, its IP67-rated housing is resistant to shock, UV light, and high temperatures. When the case is open, the Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger has an IP rating of 54.
The Chauvin Arnoux PEL106 Power & Energy Logger is a rugged, reliable, and comprehensive portable energy logger. It is ideal for installation on electric poles and can also be used to measure and characterise electric motors, as well as optimise energy efficiency.
