Martindale PD440S 440V Proving Unit

The Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is an alternative to Martindale’s industry-standard PD440 Proving Unit. It is a small, lightweight tester housed in a tough, low-profile, over-moulded case with an MG3 high-strength magnetic hanger. The Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is suitable for testing voltage indicators, two-pole testers, and test lamps.

The Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is optimised for simplicity of use and to this end has a single voltage output of 440V AC. The full voltage is supplied upon contact with the instrument under test. The Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is part of a series of Martindale PDS and PDSX Proving Units (including 690V models) and is colour coded to indicate that it has a voltage output of 440V AC.

The Martindale PD440S Proving Unit is ideal for ensuring compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations, as it can be used to prove low- and high-impedance voltage indicators, multimeters, Drummond test lamps, and two-pole voltage testers both before and after use, thereby ensuring that they are functioning correctly.

Finally, the Martindale PD440S Proving Unit has a long battery life and an Auto Power Off function. The low battery indicator alerts the user when the batteries require attention.
