The FLIR E76 Thermal Camera builds on the capabilities of the FLIR E54. Third in FLIR’s rugged, handheld Exx series, the FLIR E76 is perfect for routine inspections, making it an ideal instrument for improving plant reliability and avoiding unnecessary downtime. Delivering vibrant thermal imaging, thanks to a 320 x 240px thermal detector; <30mk thermal sensitivity/NETD; and accurate temperature measurement up to 650°C (1202°F), inspectors can spot overheating components which would be impossible to see with the human eye. As a result, issues are diagnosed quicker and repairs enacted earlier, reducing both costs and downtime. In addition to checking machines for signs of failure, interchangeable AutoCal™ lenses, including telephoto, standard, and wide-angle, enable the safe inspection of electrical systems and swift surveying of large targets.

Combining precise infrared imaging with an eclectic selection of analysis tools, the FLIR E76 Thermal Camera ensures engineers can detect, diagnose, and document faults quickly. To this end, the E76 Thermal Imaging Camera supports an optional temperature range up to 1000°C; includes six colour palettes, three spotmeters, and three area boxes, and offers live Min/Max temperature display. Features such as laser-assisted autofocus and FLIR 1-touch level/span improve clarity and contrast, helping to highlight potential problems. Imaging modes, such as FLIR-Screen EST, UltraMax, Picture-in-Picture, and MSX, also work to improve image clarity and draw attention to emerging issues. To this end, the FLIR E76 Thermal Imaging Camera also includes a 5MP digital camera with an LED Photo/Video lamp, a laser distance meter, and a 1-4x digital zoom. GPS tags are automatically added to images; however, users can also attach voice notes to pictures via the built-in mic or a Bluetooth connection.
FLIR’s E76 Thermal Camera is equipped with Multi-spectral Dynamic Imaging (MSX). Utilising FLIR’s patented technology, the MSX function provides sharp, vivid imagery by overlaying visual details captured by the integrated 5MP digital camera onto corresponding thermal images. Consequently, component details become clear and labels are readable, providing invaluable context when identifying and recording equipment/electrical problems.
Footage is visible on the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera’s auto-rotating, 640 x 480px, four-inch touchscreen display (LCD). Pictures captured in Visual, MSX, Picture-in-Picture, Gallery, and Infrared modes may be saved as JPEG files along with relevant measurement data to the removable SD memory. As a METERLiNK-enabled instrument, the FLIR E76 Thermal Camera can interface and share data with other FLIR tools. This IR imager also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It includes a USB 2.0 port and DisplayPort and is supplied with a hard carry case and cable set: USB 2.0A to USB Type-C, USB Type-C to HDMI, and USB Type-C to USB Type-C.
FLIR Inspection Route is automatically enabled within all FLIR’s Exx-series Thermal Imaging Cameras, including the E76. It works by guiding the operator through a pre-approved inspection route; providing prompts for the collection of images; and subsequently organising measurements alongside thermal pictures. As a result, the process of conducting extensive inspections; recording and analysing data; and creating reports is significantly streamlined.
Utilising the FLIR Thermal Studio Software and Route Creator Plugin, the inspection route is created in the software, and then downloaded to the FLIR E76 Thermal Camera. Technicians can design the route to include as many inspection points as required, allowing you to collect data in a structured manner, and enabling easy export back to FLIR’s Thermal Studio Software for analysis. A state-of-the-art analysis and reporting software, FLIR’s Thermal Studio Suite is available in three versions: Starter, Standard, and Pro. Capable of processing and managing thousands of images and videos, FLIR’s software is compatible with all TICs capable of capturing radiometric JPEGs. FLIR Thermal Studio is perfect for batch processing; ensuring optimal organisation; maximising job efficiency; and guaranteeing nothing is missed.
Like the E86 and E96 thermal imaging cameras, the FLIR E76 is compatible with all FLIR AutoCal lenses. Engineers can easily swap between these lenses as the FLIR E76 Thermal Camera will automatically recognise the connected lens and calibrate itself accordingly. In consequence, the camera does not need to be serviced every time a lens is changed, giving inspectors greater flexibility.
An array of AutoCal lenses are available:
Instantly switch from a wide view lens to a telephoto lens at the push of a button with FLIR’s FlexView Dual Field of View Lens. You can survey locations and take accurate temperature readings without having to change lenses in the field. In addition to saving time and space, the FLIR FlexView DFOV Lens allows you to place 2.8x pixels on your target using optical zoom rather than digital zoom. The Teledyne FLIR FlexView DFOV Lens lowers your risk of missing anomalies, allowing you to perform efficient, accurate inspections.
Offering maximum flexibility, efficiency, and ease of operation, the FLIR E76 Advanced Thermal Imaging Camera is available in combination with a range of lenses. Please see the following table for details.
