Merry Christmas: Turkey Time Is Here!
Please note that this blog was originally published on the 18th December 2018. It was updated on the 5th December 2022. As Christmas Day draws ever closer, it is time to start thinking about Christmas dinner (I do little else from about the 25th November). Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and roast potatoes are staples of a traditional festive meal. Everybody (in my house at least) looks forward to turkey on Christmas Day but achieving the perfect roast is harder than it looks, let alone essential to preventing food poisoning (not something you want at Christmas). Heed the Warning of a Former Ghost Hunter
I’m the last one. I don’t know how long I have left. Either she’ll get me or the cold will. The ink is freezing as I write by the light of my Teledyne FLIR C5’s torch but I must write. News Roundup: Unregistered “Gas Engineers”
Unfortunately, there continues to be no shortage of news stories about illegal and dangerous gas work carried out by unregistered, unqualified “gas engineers”. Therefore, it is vital that you stay vigilant and always employ a Gas Safe registered engineer that is qualified to work on your gas appliance and your fuel type. You can find a Gas Safe registered engineer or check your engineers’ credentials on the Gas Safe Register or by calling the free helpline on 0800 408 5500. Additionally, always ask to see your engineer's Gas Safe ID card and make sure you check the back of it for the appliances and gas types they are qualified to work on. Ensuring gas work is carried out by a qualified and gas registered engineer is critical to protecting yourself and your community against potential gas leaks, carbon monoxide poisoning, fires, and explosions. PASS Ltd is 20 Years Old Thanks to Brands That Stood the Test of Time!
Twenty years ago, we started out as a distributor of PAT testers. Today we boast an eclectic portfolio of test equipment and tools, including multifunction testers, oscilloscopes, cable locators, flue gas analysers, pressure and flow instruments, thermal cameras, scales, microscopes, force/torque gauges, wrenches, and calipers (to name just a few!). We have also expanded into training and calibration: PASS is an approved service centre for Seaward, Testo, Fluke, Crowcon, and Druck, and we offer City & Guilds and MCA accredited courses. However, none of this would have been possible without the good faith and exceptional quality of our brands, for which we have become a leading UK supplier. Partnering with pioneering, high-quality brands is integral to our success and a requisite we continue to abide by when considering new manufactures to work with. Below you will find some of our most popular test equipment manufacturers. These are brands that have stood the test of time and made us what we are today! Continue reading → -
