The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Ultrasonic Inspection System Kits utilise ultrasonic technology to identify and locate compressed gas, leaks, and electrical and mechanical faults within a variety of pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems. Each of these kits contains a different selection of modules optimised for particular applications (for further information, please see ‘Applications’), however, all include a UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector.
Please note that these kits are NOT intrinsically safe; intrinsically safe kits are available here.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is an inspection, information, storage and retrieval system. It can be used to identify and locate issues such as:
As mentioned, above the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is a dynamic instrument capable of locating a variety of pneumatic, mechanical and electrical problems; its scope-for-use is extended with the inclusion of UE System’s licence-free Ultratrend DMS Software for data logging and management. Using this software, the operator can see multiple data views, history tables and spreadsheets, as well as trend charts. The UE Systems Ultratrend DMS Software also facilitates the user’s ability to export databases and report documents to MS Excel. Information can be uploaded and downloaded to and from a PC via a USB connection. The licence-free UE System’s Ultratrend DMS Software allows the user to manage and report on asset conditions, as well as manage routes.
It is also possible to view data via the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s easy-to-read display panel with a 16-segment bar graph and a calibrated decibel readout. During scanning the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector will automatically and simultaneously register sound intensity changes and the Peak Hold value. Data can be saved to the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector at the push of a button.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s ability to scan as quickly as traditional analogue ultrasonic testers combined with its digital operating system and capabilities allow it to efficiently inspect systems whilst storing and trending accurate and repeatable digital data for comprehensive analysis and reporting. This ultrasonic inspection instrument is ideal for point-and-shoot troubleshooting applications and data collection programs.
It is equipped with a simple-to-use operating interface to enable the quick, easy and effective collection of data whilst allowing the user to adapt the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector to suit the application. The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector features Spin and Click™ technology, allowing the user to access and store data, as well as alter settings, modes and functions using just two controls. As a result, the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is simple-to-use and can be operated by individuals with no previous experience.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is equipped with three functions:
It features a frequency range of 20 to 100 kHz which can be adjusted as necessary; the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s sensitivity can also be altered as required, allowing the user to tailor the instrument to the application. Interchangeable modules also improve the flexibility of this instrument (see 'Applications' and ‘What’s Included?’)
In addition to this, the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is equipped with Ultratrend Sound Filtration and acoustic-isolating headphones. These headphones allow the user to focus on relevant ultrasonic noises, enabling him/her to trace the source of a fault by following volume increases. The decibel reading is also indicated via the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s display; it has a range of up to 120dB.
Alternatively, measurements can be viewed on vibration analysers (including SKF, ENTEK, DLI, CSI and DI models) as the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is able to interface with these instruments.
Locating faults and/or potential problems earlier limits the damage and amount of downtime required to address the issue, thereby saving the user time and money. Therefore, the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is a cost-effective point-and-shoot troubleshooting instrument that is capable of being adapted to suit a variety of applications.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is a versatile and easy-to-use troubleshooting, diagnostic and inspection instrument that can be adapted to suit a variety of applications. The inclusion of various modules and additional accessories within each kit allows the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector to be optimised for particular inspections. Please see the table below for an overview of the applications each kit is able to accommodate.
