The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Ultrasonic Inspection System is a digitally-powered, information, storage and reporting system that utilises ultrasonic technology to detect and find faults such as compressed air, leaks, failing steam traps, faulty mechanical components and bearings, and electrical discharge such as arcing, corona and tracking. The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Ultrasonic Inspection System can be used to inspect an array of systems including mechanical, electrical and fluid.
This system is available in six kits, each of which contains the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector and various accessories (see ‘What’s Included?’), making them suitable for different applications (see ‘Applications’).
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector is a lightweight, handheld, easy-to-operate, high-performance ultrasonic inspection tool.
As mentioned above it can be used to find compressed air, leaks, faulty steam traps, failing components, issues with bearings, and electrical discharge phenomena in a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, fluid and pneumatic systems. It will record and download test data for steam trap and compressed air inspections and is supported by UE System’s Ultratrend DMS Software optimised for organising and analysing results as well as creating reports. Data is downloaded to a PC with Utratrend DMS Software via a USB interface.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector includes an extensive memory with four-hundred memory locations. It is possible to enter and store data in a new memory location and/or overwrite or delete existing data. The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector can be set to ‘Normal Store’ or ‘Quick Store’ mode.
In addition to this, it is possible to view data via the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s easy-to-read display panel. The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s display will indicate the calibrated decibel reading; it also includes a 16-segmented bar graph. Additionally, via the panel, the user can see the sensitivity level, storage location number, and the battery level.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector features one ‘spin and click’ control which facilitates the user’s ability to access, view, store, alter and delete data, as well as set the detector to one of the aforementioned storage modes. It can also be used to adjust the tool’s sensitivity to ensure efficient, effective and precise fault detection and location.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector has an expansive and dynamic sensitivity range that can be adjusted quickly when using the ‘spin and click’ control. The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector also includes a fixed focus response and can be combined with an array of probes and modules (see ‘What’s Included?) to adapt it for various applications. Please see the video below for a brief introduction to using the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector.
The dynamic, versatile, handheld UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Advanced Digital Ultrasonic Detector can perform airborne and structure-borne ultrasonic inspections in order to detect and locate a multitude of faults in a variety of systems, as well as prevent potential problems. Early identification and diagnosis reduce system downtime and associated repair costs, as maintenance decisions can be affected more efficiently and effectively.
This sophisticated, small, lightweight instrument can be used in a variety of challenging environments and is particularly useful for optimising energy and PDM programs by reducing energy waste; in turn, this will reduce energy costs and the system’s environmental impact.
As mentioned above each of the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 3000 Ultrasonic Inspection System Kits are optimised for various purposes; please see the following table for an overview of the applications each kit can accommodate.
