The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Ultrasonic System Wind Noise & Water Leak Kit is optimised for cabin leak detection. To this end, the included UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector features a 40kHz fixed frequency; this kit also includes a 360 multidirectional tone generator (UFMTG-1991).
Please note that other UP9000 kits are available here and intrinsically safe UP9000 kits are available here.
In addition to a fixed frequency of 40Hz, the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector (optimised for cabin leak detection) also includes a decibel range of up to 120dB and a selection of three operating functions:
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector can be set to any of the above functions using the simple, two-control Spin and Click™ operating interface. It is also possible to alter the instrument’s sensitivity using this interface, allowing the user to tailor the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector to suit the application.
Furthermore, the interchangeable rubber focusing probe and close focus module can also be used to adapt the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector to suit the application.
The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector will automatically and simultaneously scan for changing sound intensity and the Peak Hold value. It is able to match the speed of traditional analogue ultrasonic testers whilst offering the repeatability, accuracy, and storing and trending capabilities of a digital tester.
Data can be saved to the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector at the push of a button; information may be uploaded and downloaded to and from a PC via a USB connection.
When used with UE System’s Ultratrend DMS Data Logging and Management Software (NOT included), the operator is able to view trend charts, history tables/ spreadsheets and multiple data views. He/she may also export databases and reports to MS Excel. The UE Systems Ultratrend DMS Software is of particular use when managing routes and when managing and reporting on assets.
As mentioned above the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is designed to detect and locate cabin leaks using ultrasonic technology. When locating a fault the operator can use the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector in conjunction with the supplied walkman-type headphones to trace increases in ultrasonic noise, ultrasound will become louder the closer the user gets to the fault. A calibrated decibel value is also displayed on the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector’s easy-to-read display with a 16-segment bar graph.
Alternatively, as the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is able to interface with most vibration analysers (including SKF, ENTEK, DLI, CSI and DI models), the operator is able to view measurements using these tools.
Early detection of cabin leaks allows repairs to affected more efficiently and effectively, thereby reducing downtime and associated costs. The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 9000 Digital Ultrasonic Detector is an easy-to-use instrument, suitable for individuals of all experiences; it is an efficient and effective point-and-shoot troubleshooting tool optimised for water leakage and wind noise applications.
