UE Systems Ultraprobe® 201 Grease Caddy

The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 201 Grease Caddy is designed to lubricate bearings and monitor ultrasounds simultaneously in order to prevent over lubrication. The design of this unit allows it to be attached to most standard grease guns; it is also possible to wear this instrument in a belt holster.

The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 201 Grease Caddy operates by translating ultrasonic frequencies into an audible range which may be heard through the supplied heavy-duty headphones. As the level of lubrication falls friction increases, which produces directional and localised ultrasonic waves. These are the waves that are translated into an audible frequency and then heard through the headphones: the user is able to identify bearing noises.

The UE Systems Ultraprobe® 201 Grease Caddy will focus on bearing noises. Moreover, the heavy-duty headphones mean that the user is able to hear these signals even in noisy environments. He/she is able to hear when the grease enters the bearing, signalling that he/she should cease applying grease, thereby preventing over lubrication and associated bearing problems. Additionally, the user is able to view ultrasonic amplitudes via the LED display.

The inclusion of a swivel base mounting kit ensures that the user is able to access bearings in awkward-to-reach locations. This kit allows the user to mount the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 201 Grease Caddy to a grease gun in such a way as to accommodate odd angles. In addition to this, the UE Systems Ultraprobe® 201 Grease Caddy is equipped with an integrated front-end lamp, ensuring that this ultrasonic detection instrument is suitable for use in dark places. Finally, also adding to the practicality and ease-of-operation of this instrument is its magnetically mounted transducer.
