Designed for measuring cable attenuation in multimode and single-mode cabling, the Trend Networks R240-QIP FiberMASTER is a compact power meter also capable of troubleshooting LAN and telecom networks. Furthermore, when used with a Trend Networks FiberMASTER light source the Trend Networks R240-QIP FiberMASTER can directly measure the cable attenuation and output power of optical equipment. Additionally, when the power meter and light source are used in combination with a fibre inspection probe, they can capture images of connectors at each end of the cabling. This is particularly useful as over 90% of all fibre optic cable and network issues are caused by damaged or dirty fibre connectors.
