The TPI DC580C2 Airflow Meter Kit includes:
The vane probe included in this kit can be easily replaced should it suffer damage or become lost. The TPI DC580 Airflow Meter is also compatible with TPI's hot-wire probe which allows the anemometer to measure air velocity between 40 and 3900 fpm/ 0.2 and 20 m/s. When using the included vane probe the anemometer can measure air velocity between 80 and 4900 fpm / 0.4 to 25 m/s.
Kits that include both the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter and hot-wire probe are available here:
These kits, including this TPI DC580C2 Airflow Meter Kit, are particularly well suited to monitoring fume hoods, floor registers, and exhaust grills. They are also suitable for conducting air duct analysis to balance commercial and residential HVAC systems and may be used to measure the air velocity within these systems.
The TPI DC580 Airflow Meter is capable of determining air velocity, temperature, and air volume. It can measure air velocity and temperature simultaneously and to this end, includes a backlit, dual display in order to indicate these readings.
In addition to being able to measure air velocity between 80 and 4900 fpm/ 0.4 and 25 m/s when using the vane probe, the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter can measure temperature between -5°F/ -20°C and 175°F/ 80°C.
Furthermore, this anemometer is capable of measuring air volume in CMM (cubic meters per minute) without using an air-balance hood. The TPI DC580 Airflow Meter can also measure air volume in cubic feet per minute (CFM).
The user is able to select his/her desired measurement units for temperature, air velocity, and air volume, allowing him/her to tailor this product to the application. As mentioned above the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter is able to measure air volume in CMM and CFM; it is able to measure temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit and can display air velocity in any of the following units: m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots and mile/h.
The TPI DC580 Airflow Meter includes a Min/Max/ Avg function to record the minimum, maximum and/or average readings over the course of a single measurement period. The values measured using this instrument can be sent to an Android smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth or using the TPI app.
Adding to the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter’s practicality is its physical design which includes a rubberized boot with magnets making the instrument suitable for hands-free operation.
The TPI DC580 Airflow Meter is a practical, multifunctional instrument suitable for a variety of air measurement applications.
