When used with the hot-wire probe, the TPI DC58O Airflow Meter can measure air velocity between 40 and 3900 fpm/ 0.2 and 20 m/s. It is also capable of measuring temperature between -5°F and 175°F / -20°C and 80°C.
This instrument features a dual, backlit display as it is able to measure values for air velocity and temperature simultaneously. It is also capable of recording the minimum, maximum and average readings determined over the course of a single measurement period. The user can freeze measurements on the screen by engaging the Hold function. This provides the operator with enough time to record the frozen value.
As well as measuring air velocity and temperature, the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter can be used to determine air volume, which may be measured in either CFM (cubic feet per minute) or CMM (cubic meters per minute). The TPI DC580 Airflow Meter is able to take CMM measurements without the need for an air-balance hood.
Just as the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter offers a choice of user-selectable measurement units pertaining to air volume, it also offers multiple, selectable units for temperature and air velocity. This anemometer can measure temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius and is able to display velocity measurements in either: m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots or mile/h.
Measurements taken using this TPI anemometer can be shared with an Android smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth or the TPI App. Results for air velocity and volume may also be saved to the instrument provided they are within the range 0~299.
Adding to this product’s practicality is its rubber boot with magnets which ensures that the TPI DC580 Airflow Meter is suitable for hands-free operation.
