The TPI 9085-Ex Intrinsically Safe ATEX Vibration Analyser is a handheld, simple-to-use meter that records, analyses, and displays vibration, bearing wear, and temperature. It is a perfect maintenance tool for facilities managers working in hazardous environments.
Designed to collect temperature and vibration measurements from assets, such as pumps, motors, fans, and bearings, the TPI 9085-Ex will automatically perform vibration analysis based on a machine’s running speed. It displays vibration frequency plots alongside vibration measurements, and BDU (Bearing Damage Units) and ISO values both of which are accompanied by colour-coded alarms. BDU readings, combined with built-in vibration band filters, help technicians identify unbalance (1x filter), misalignment (2x filters), and looseness (3x filters), as well as the degree of bearing wear.
The TPI 9085-Ex Vibration Analyser is supplied with TPI’s C-Trend II Software which allows you to monitor, analyse, and trend vibration severity and bearing condition.
Store and analyse data and create reports (manually or automatically) all in one place using the C-Trend II Software. Colour-coded alarms and trend lines highlight problems before they happen, allowing you to take action sooner. Other features of TPI’s C-Trend II Software include:
Surface temperature measurements are near instantaneous, allowing you to confirm that high BDU readings are caused by bearing wear rather than noise from pump cavitation, gearboxes, or a nearby bearing. Temperature readings can also help technicians determine whether bearings require lubrication; if housing or shaft fits are too tight/loose; and if there are electrical issues with motors, such as winding insulation deterioration, single phasing, or broken rotor bars.
Data is indicated on the TPI 9085-Ex’s 800-line spectrum display with a zoom and cursor for identifying complex issues. Readings may be downloaded to a PC for analysis via the 9085-Ex’s USB docking station.
The TPI 9085-Ex Vibration Analyser is housed in a rugged IP67 case and features a standard cable-mounted accelerometer with a built-in magnet and temperature sensor. It supports wireless charging.
The TPI 9085-Ex Vibration Analyser is certified for IECEx/ATEX Zone 0 with North American Class 1, Div 1 approval, making it suitable for use in any safe or hazardous atmosphere worldwide.
The TPI 9085-Ex Intrinsically Safe ATEX Vibration Analyser is an easy-to-use, economic, high-specification maintenance tool suitable for use in all hazardous environments.
