PACT TOMKAT V2 Pipe and Cable Locator / CAT - Cable Avoidance Tool

The PACT TOMKAT V2 Pipe and Cable Locator / CAT - Cable Avoidance Tool with Display is similar to its sister product, the PACT TOMKAT S2 Pipe and Cable Locator – No Display, in that it is able to locate cables and pipes buried to a depth of up to three metres. This model differs in regards to the inclusion of a digital, LED display. Via this display, the user can view a bar indicating the cable's/pipe's location, the selected mode, and the remaining battery life.

Like its sister product, the PACT TOMKAT V2 Pipe and Cable Locator with Display is supplied with eight, fitted AA batteries which supply the instrument with up to fifty hours of power (when the tool is used intermittently). Similarly, it too is constructed from IP54, high-impact ABS and has been CE tested, making the PACT TOMKAT V2 CAT - Cable Avoidance Tool suitable for use in rugged, outdoor environments.

The PACT TOMKAT V2 Pipe and Cable Locator with Display also includes a waterproof speaker that outputs an audible alert when pipes and cables are located. It has a location accuracy of ±10% of the depth and, depending on the selected mode and the condition of the ground, can locate cables and pipes that have buried to a depth of up to three metres. As indicated in the table above, the PACT TOMKAT V2 CAT is equipped with the following three modes:

• Power Mode: locate cables carrying a detectable signal
• Radio Mode: locate re-radiated radio signals
• Generator (Genny) Mode: locate conductors carrying a signal supplied by the signal generator

In addition to this, the PACT TOMKAT V2 Pipe and Cable Locator includes a sensitivity control that can be used to identify the precise location of buried conductors.
