PACT TOMKAT S2 Pipe & Cable Locator/ CAT - Cable Avoidance Tool

The PACT TOMKAT S2 Pipe and Cable Locator / CAT - Cable Avoidance Tool alerts the user to the presence of cables and pipes via an audible indication. The PACT TOMKAT S2 Pipe and Cable Locator’s sound alert is outputted from a removable, waterproof speaker allowing the user to place the speaker at the distance most conducive to hearing the alarm.

The PACT TOMKAT S2 Pipe and Cable Locator feature three modes of operation allowing the user to tailor the instrument to the application:

• Power Mode: locate live cables carrying a detectable signal
• Radio Mode: locate re-radiated signals
• Generator Mode: locate conductors carrying a signal supplied by the signal generator

Further to this, the PACT TOMKAT S2 Cable Avoidance Tool also includes a sensitivity control for identifying the precise location of buried conductors.

This instrument has a location accuracy of ± 10% of the depth. Depending on the mode the PACT TOMKAT S2 CAT is placed in and the condition of the ground, this instrument can detect cables located up to three metres beneath the earth. Please see the following table for further information.

In addition to versatility and accuracy, the PACT TOMKAT S2 CAT - Cable Avoidance Tool has been optimised for resilience. To this end, it has been constructed from high-impact ABS with an ingress protection rating of 54, ensuring that it is suitable for use in outdoor environments. The PACT TOMKAT S2 Pipe and Cable Locator has also been CE tested.
