This calibration device is made for the testing and calibration of process loops.
The 7006 is a simple to use device with a minimalistic keypad and easy access to available modes. All it takes is the engineer using the unit to select 4-20mA, 10V loop, TxSim, RxTest or 0 to 10V simulation modes. It also contains an internal loop drive supply which can be used to power loops.
When used as a loop simulator, this device can provide loop signals from 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10V. It also includes up/down buttons which allow the user to decrease or increase the signal as is necessary. This mode features seven set points at 0, 10, 25, 50, 75, 90 and 100% and shines LED lights and an audible beeping noise can be heard as these options are stepped between. If you don't want to manually perform this task the 7006 also features an auto stepping mode as well.
