Testo's 872 Thermal Camera provides one way of spotting damp and mould before they damage your property. Discover four more methods here!
Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera
The Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera – 9Hz can be used to capture error-free, comparable thermal images and conduct temperature measurements. It is particularly well suited to:
- Identifying areas which may develop mould
- Pinpointing thermal bridges
- Locating structural defects
- Identifying overheating connections
This thermal camera can be used with a number of Testo’s other products to carry out more comprehensive and/or collaborative testing. This is made possible by the camera’s Bluetooth capabilities which allow it to send information to and receive information from compatible Testo products, such as the Testo 770-3 Clamp Meter (sold separately).
In addition to this, the integrated radio module for both Bluetooth and WLAN facilitates the Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera’s ability to communicate with Android or iOS mobile products, allowing the user to write, save and send reports via the Testo Thermography App. Moreover, via this app, the user can operate his/her camera remotely using a smartphone or tablet as a second display.
The Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera has been optimised to produce clear, accurate and comparable thermal images. To this end, it features an infrared resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (which is increased to 640 x 480 pixels when the camera is used with the integrated SuperResolution technology) with 76800 temperature measuring points. It can detect temperature differences as slight as 0.06°C and has the following temperature ranges:
- -30°C to 100°C
- 0°C to +650°C
Hot and cold spots are automatically detected in order to indicate critical temperatures. Further to this, the Testo 872 includes an integrated digital camera with a laser marker, which allows the user to capture ‘real’ images in parallel to the thermal images.
Also adding to the accuracy of this camera is its IFOV warner which allows the user to see on the display the exact measurement spot, thereby helping him/her to avoid measurement errors. Furthermore, the Testo ScaleAssist function automatically adjusts the thermal imaging scale of the image, allowing the user to capture objectively comparable and error-free thermal images. In addition to this, the Testo ɛ-Assist function automatically determines and sets the emissivity and reflected temperature, working to improve the accuracy and ease-of-use of this camera.
Thermal images captured using this camera can be saved as JPEG files and may be analysed on a PC using the included Pro software.
The Testo 872 Thermal Imaging Camera - 9Hz is ideal for daily maintenance and installation applications within trade and industry.
