The Testo 440 Lux Kit is optimised for use in offices and production areas and can be used to measure the air velocity and indoor air quality of these spaces, as well as their level of illuminance. To this end, the Testo 440 Lux Kit includes the following items:
Please see the descriptions below for further information regarding these products.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be used with a variety of interchangeable OPTIONAL Testo probes to measure an array of environmental parameters, such as volume flow, degree of turbulence, cooling/heating outputs and CO₂. It can also be used to determine the ambient air temperature and humidity as well as the level of illuminance. For a quick introduction to this instrument, please see the following video.
Conducting relevant measurements is made quick and easy due to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s clearly structured menu and its ability to recognise and accommodate various wired and Bluetooth probes. It is possible to connect up to three probes to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester simultaneously; for instance, in addition to the included fixed-cable Lux probe, the user can also connect a Bluetooth probe (NOT included) and a temperature probe with a type-K thermocouple connector (NOT included).
Connected probes are automatically recognised by the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester which will adjust its parameters accordingly, improving the ease and efficiency of testing. The universal probe handle allows the user to change the probe head as required, thereby expanding the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s scope-for-use whilst reducing the amount of equipment required to perform an extensive array of tests. Please see the video below for a quick introduction to Testo's probe system.
This design also means that only the probe heads need to be sent for recalibration, allowing the user to maximise the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s uptime.
Further to this, Bluetooth probes allow the operator to conduct cable-less measurements up to twenty metres away from the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester. Again, this reduces the amount of equipment required and saves on space, enabling the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester and required probes to be transported and stored easily.
When using Bluetooth probes, measurements can be saved to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester by pressing the button on the universal probe handle. Additionally, the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be programmed to take readings at specified intervals over the course of a programmed measurement cycle.
Data is viewable via the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s large, graphic display. It is capable of measuring and indicating three parameters in parallel. As the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is Bluetooth-enabled, data can be sent to print via a compatible Testo Bluetooth/ IRDA printer (NOT included).
Readings can also be saved to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s internal memory which has the capacity to store up to 7500 measurement protocols. The included USB cable can be used to upload the data to a PC for further processing in a CSV file.
As mentioned above, the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be combined with various probes to conduct a variety of measurements. The user is able to determine volume flow by entering the dimensions and geometry of the duct into the Testo 440 and using a hot wire or vane probe (NOT included) to conduct the measurements.
Additionally, when used with a compatible turbulence probe, the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can conduct turbulence measurements in accordance with EN ISO 7730/ ASHRAE 55 even in low air velocities, and will also calculate the draught risk automatically.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is a versatile, adaptable and reliable environmental test instrument. It can be used to monitor air quality and comfort levels; when used with the included Lux probe, the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is ideal for monitoring the illuminance of offices and production areas.
The Testo Digital Lux Probe can be used with the Testo 400 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester to determine the level of illuminance in offices, production areas, hospitals, museums and schools.
The Testo Digital Lux Probe’s 1.4m cable ensures that the user is able to conduct accurate measurements, which are unaffected by his/her shadow, at the test location. Its non-slip contact surface ensures that it remains in position throughout the measurement period.
This probe measures illuminance in accordance with the V-lambda curve which corresponds to the sensitivity of the human eye in daylight. The Testo Digital Lux Probe is accurate according to DIN EN 13032-1 and Class C according to DIN 5032-7. It is ideal for measuring white and warm LED lights.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be programmed to take illuminance measurements, via the Testo Digital Lux Probe, at specified intervals over the course of a programmed measurement cycle.
The Testo Digital Lux Probe is an easy-to-use, efficient and effective illuminance probe, ideal for expanding the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s scope-for-use.
