The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is an adaptable, affordable and accurate multifunctional environmental tester suitable for detecting mould and measuring a variety of air quality parameters. For a brief overview of the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester, please see the following video.

This kit is supplied with a Testo Ø16mm Wired Vane Probe enabling air velocity and volume flow measurements between +0.6 and +50 m/s. This probe can be used with an extendable telescope (up to 0.85m), allowing the user to access ducts in awkward-to-reach places. The immersion depth can be read on the telescope’s scale.
Additionally, the included Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe/ Data Logger with Temperature Sensor can be used to conduct volume flow measurements at air/ ceiling outlets, as well as ducts. Like the Testo Ø16mm Wired Vane Probe, it can be combined with an extendable telescope: the Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe can be used with a telescope with a 90° angle (NOT included) to access air/ ceiling outlets without the use of a ladder. Furthermore, when combined with funnels and flow straighteners (NOT included), the Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe can be used to measure the incoming and outgoing air at plate outlets, ventilation grilles and swirl outlets.
It is possible to connect up to three probes (one Bluetooth probe, one wired probe, and one type-K temperature probe) to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester simultaneously. The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester will automatically recognise the connected probes, removing the need for parameter adjustments each time a new probe is attached.
Similarly, the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester will display up to three parameters in parallel on its large graphic display. When this tester is used with the Testo Ø16mm Wired Vane Probe, the user can view the current measurement as well as the minimum and maximum measurements. Furthermore, he/she can determine timed and multi-point mean calculations and average volume flow.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is able to calculate volume flow automatically; the user needs only input the dimensions and geometry of the duct’s cross-section. The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester features an intuitive interface with clearly structured measurement menus that guide the operator through each test. Via these menus the user can also program the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester for long-term applications such as the unsupervised monitoring of CO and CO₂ levels (probe dependent); he/she need only program the measurement period and intervals.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be held in place during these monitoring applications using its magnets. Attaching the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester to metal surfaces using these magnets also enables remote and wireless measurements. For instance, using the Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe the operator can conduct measurements up to 20m away from the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester as results are sent to the Testo 440 via Bluetooth. The user is also able to start and stop measurements using the button on the Testo Ø100mm Bluetooth Vane Smart Probe’s handle.
Up to 7500 measurement protocols can be saved to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s internal memory. Data can be sent to print on-site using a Testo Bluetooth/ IRDA Printer (NOT included); alternatively, it can be exported to a PC via a USB connection for processing in a CSV file.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can remain in continual use as only its probes need to be sent for calibration. This maximises the Testo 440’s uptime.
The Testo 440 Air Flow ComboKit 2 with Bluetooth is a cost-effective, versatile and precise air quality measurement kit.
