The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can also be used to detect mould. PLEASE NOTE that the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s ability to measure the aforementioned parameters is dependent on the connected probes. Probes are automatically recognised by the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester, thereby enabling quick adjustment of the instrument as the user does not have to alter parameters with the connection of each new probe. Furthermore, compatibility with Testo’s Bluetooth Smart Probes/ Data Loggers means that measurements can be conducted remotely and wirelessly without cable clutter. The user can attach the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester to a metal surface using its magnets and commence and halt tests using the button on the Testo Bluetooth Smart Probe, thereby allowing him/her to perform measurements at a distance from the Testo 440.
This instrument can be used in combination with various probes to test ducts, air/ ceiling outlets, fume cupboards, and air conditioning and ventilation systems. It can also be used for long-term monitoring of CO and CO₂ levels (probe dependent): the user needs only enter the measurement period and intervals and then leave the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester in place to track and record the specified parameter.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester features an intuitive interface with clearly structured measurement menus designed to guide the user through each test. As this kit includes a wired vane probe (Ø16mm), the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester can be used to measure the volume flow and flow velocity of ducts. The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is capable of calculating volume flow automatically once the user has entered the dimensions and geometry of the duct's cross-section.
Results are indicated on the large graphic display; the user can view up to three measurements in parallel and can save up to 7500 measurement protocols to the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s internal memory. Saved data can be exported to a PC via s USB connection for processing in a CSV file. Alternatively, measurements can be sent to print on-site using a Testo Bluetooth/ IRDA printer.
Finally, the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester’s uptime is maximised as only the probes need to be sent for calibration thereby allowing the Testo 440 to remain in continuous use.
The Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester is a versatile, accurate and economic multifunctional indoor air quality and air velocity measurement instrument.
When used with the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester, the Testo Wired Ø16mm Vane Probe is able to measure the air velocity and volume flow of ventilation ducts. This wired probe with a diameter of 16mm has a measurement range of +0.6 to +50 m/s.
Additionally, when used with the Testo 440 Air Velocity and IAQ Tester, the user can determine timed and multi-point mean calculations and average volume flow. The Testo 440 will also display the current as well as the minimum and maximum readings detected.
To facilitate measurement of large ducts, the Testo Wired Ø16mm Vane Probe is equipped with a telescope that can be extended up to 0.85m. The immersion depth can be read off the telescope’s scale.
