For further information regarding the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser, please see the following description.
The Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser supplied with this kit is fitted with O₂, CO, NO and SO₂ cells and a Bluetooth module. These components are housed within a compact and rugged design suitable for use in industrial environments.
As a result, this Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser is suitable for applications such as monitoring emissions, analysing flue gas, and servicing burners and engines, as well as verifying the installation of firing plants and energy production systems. Furthermore, the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser is suitable for use within international service operations. Please see the ‘Applications’ section for further information.
In addition to calculating pressure difference and air flow measurements for mass flow calculations, the inclusion of oxygen, carbon monoxide, nitric oxide and sulphur dioxide allows the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser to measure concentrations of these gases within the following ranges:
Each of the integrated sensors is TÜV tested and accuracy checked in accordance with the standard EN 50379 Part 2. They are also pre-calibrated to enable the quick and simple swapping of cells on work sites, ensuring that the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser can be adapted to suit the application.
Also improving the versatility of this tester is its extended measurement range (thinning) which is automatically activated when high concentrations of gas are detected. This means that the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser can be used in challenging environments as the demands made on the sensors in environments with high gas concentrations are the same as the demands made in environments with low concentrations of gases. This improves the longevity of the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser’s cells.
In addition to this, the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser is equipped with an integrated condensation trap and an integrated automatically controlled measurement gas pump which are also designed to ensure the reliability and longevity of these sensors. The condensation trap prevents concentrate from accumulating within the gas sensor whilst the gas pump regulates flow in the event of negative pressure or overpressure between -200 mbar to +50 mbar. Additionally, the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser will alert the user when the condensation trap needs to be emptied.
Furthermore, as well as an array of gas sensors and preservation features, the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser includes an easy-to-navigate interface with helpful tips designed to guide the user through each measurement. Additionally, the Testo 340 includes options for fuel types, sequences of flue gas parameters, and pre-configured settinngs for various applications.
Further to this, when used with the Testo easyEmissions Software (NOT included), the operator can tailor the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser to suit the application by creating customer-specific and application-specific measurement protocols. This software can also be used to perform online measurements, allowing the user to view real-time measurements whilst the test is ongoing. Online measurements are facilitated by connecting the Test 340 Flue Gas Analyser to the Testo easyEmissions Software via a USB or Bluetooth interface. The Testo easyEmissions Software is designed for reading, editing, archiving and managing data.
Also expanding the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser’s scope-for-use is its compatibility with a range of OPTIONAL Testo probes which may be connected to the Testo 340 quickly and easily. These probes can be used interchangeably as the probe shaft is attached to the probe handle and then connected to the Testo 340.
The inclusion of a Bluetooth module also allows the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser to be operated remotely via the user’s smartphone or tablet with the free Testo App installed. Additionally, via this app, the user can view data in a graph or table and send information to print via a Bluetooth interface and compatible Testo printer.
Alternatively, information can be sent to print directly from the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser via a Bluetooth or infrared interface (a compatible Testo Printer is required).
The Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser is an adaptable, versatile and durable gas detector and analyser optimised for industrial applications.
Flue Gas Analysis for Thermal Manufacturing Processes
This instrument is suitable for verifying that flue gas emissions are within permissible limits; it can also be used to check that emissions instruments are functioning correctly. In addition to this, the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser proves useful when optimising combustion systems and monitoring processes, allowing the user to identify ways of saving fuel.
Service Measurements of Industrial Engines
The Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser’s extended measurement range and compatibility with an array of OPTIONAL, highly heat resistant Testo probes make it suitable for inspecting various industrial engines.
The Testo 340 can be used to measure industrial engines with undefined engine conditions as it will automatically dilute the CO sensor when unexpectedly high concentrations of this gas are detected (up to 50 000ppm). This prevents damage to the sensor.
Service Measurements of Industrial Burners
As mentioned above, the Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser includes an array of fuel options, sequences of flue gas parameters, and pre-configured settings for a variety of applications. This makes it suitable for assessing the functionality and efficiency of industrial burners and allows it to check that these burners are compliant with environmental regulations.
The Testo 340 Flue Gas Analyser is particularly useful during maintenance and troubleshooting applications and can be used to commission safe and efficient burners.
