Spectrally filtered for methane and other industrial gases, the FLIR GF77a Fixed Gas Find Uncooled IR Thermal Camera is an infrared imager ideal for monitoring gas emissions. It delivers continuous, autonomous leak detection, making it particularly useful for oil and gas facilities, gas transportation terminals, and power generation plants.
Spectrally filtered and equipped with a 320 x 240px IR resolution, <25mk thermal sensitivity, and a 25° lens delivering a 25° x 19° field-of-view, the FLIR GF77a is optimised for detecting and locating gas leaks as well as continuously monitoring for methane emissions. It can visualise gases in a specified spectrum while reducing false negatives of gases that absorb into other wavelengths. High Sensitivity Mode (HSM) increases leak detectability while remote motorized monitoring ensures you can capture crisp images and take accurate measurements of objects at various distances. Multiple cameras can be installed across sites to maximise leak detection without having to increase in-person inspections. Early identification of leaks improves user safety and reduces the downtime required to fix them.
In addition to this, the GF77a is temperature calibrated making it suitable for other thermography applications including fire detection. It also includes a built-in digital camera enabling dual (thermal and visual) streaming capabilities.
For maximum convenience and ease, the FLIR GF77a is RTSP, GigE, and ONVIF compliant. Open architecture also means it supports third-party integration, enabling visual confirmation of leaks. Furthermore, compressed radiometric streaming saves network bandwidth and means multiple outputs can be connected simultaneously, maximising leak detection.
The FLIR GF77a Fixed Gas Find Uncooled IR Thermal Camera is a small, lightweight, and economic optical gas imaging solution. It can help oil and gas companies to maintain equipment, prevent production loss, meet emissions reduction metrics, and protect the safety of their staff.
