The T&R CU-Ps primary current injection system is perfect for high-current commissioning and maintenance testing. It features separate control and loading units for flexibility, with the control unit housing all control and metering circuitry, connected to the loading unit via cables.
The control unit can work with two loading units, offering 5000A or 6000A for 5 minutes, or up to 10kA or 12kA for short periods. Each loading unit has two outputs that can be connected in series or parallel. For instance, the PLU-6k can provide 3000A at 6.6V or 6000A at 3.3V.
The control and loading units are in durable steel cases with castors and protective handles. The compact loading units can be placed close to the test object, reducing power needs and maximizing current availability.
The 20kVA control unit features digital metering with a memory to retain current readings when the output trips or is switched off. The current automatically shuts off when the tested device trips.
The CU-Ps systems feature a high-accuracy timing system with a 1ms resolution. Automatic selection for normally open or closed contacts is displayed on the front panel. Timing modes are available for various devices, including under/over current, re-closers, under/over voltage, current trips, and circuit breakers.
