The Suparule CHM300E Cable Height Meter is an ultrasonic distance meter that can be used to determine cable height, cable sag, and overhead clearance of conductors. It has a maximum range of 23m and an accuracy of 0.5%. The Suparule CHM300E Cable Height Meter can simultaneously measure three cables or wires.
It functions by emitting ultrasonic bursts from its cone-shaped transmitter and subsequently using its integrated microprocessor to calculate the time taken for the ultrasonic burst to be reflected back to the meter. This value is used to determine a distance measurement which can be displayed in metric or imperial units. To ensure accuracy and reliability, the Suparule CHM300E Cable Height Meter automatically compensates for air temperature. To this end, it includes a temperature sensor for measuring the air temperature.
Furthermore, as the Suparule CHM300E Cable Height Meter offers consistent reliability in the field, it does not require maintenance or adjustments.
Ultrasonic measurement also improves the user’s safety as he/she does not have to make contact with the cable or wire to determine cable height, cable sag or overhead conductor clearance.
In addition to improving user safety, the Suparule CHM300E Cable Height Meter has been designed to improve the ease and speed with which the user can gather data. As such, it features a simple, three-button interface which requires minimal training to navigate.
The Suparule CHM300E Cable Height Meter provides an accurate, simple, safe and efficient alternative to traditional telescopic measuring poles. It is ideal for line operators working within the electricity and telecommunications industries.
