The Suparule CHM300 Cable Height Meter utilises ultrasonic sound to determine the cable height, as well as cable sag and overhead clearance of conductors. It can take measurements for up to three cables at once and has a maximum measurement range of 15m.
Ultrasonic measurement ensures that readings are ascertained safely, as well as quickly and accurately. This is because contact does not have to be made with the cable or wire. The Suparule CHM300 Cable Height Meter emits bursts of ultrasonic sound from its cone-shaped transmitter and uses its microprocessor to calculate the time taken for the sound to be reflected back to CHM300. The determined distance is displayed in either metric or imperial units. The Suparule CHM300 Cable Height Meter has an accuracy of 0.5%.
Furthermore, the Suparule CHM300 Cable Height Meter automatically compensates for air temperature which is measured via its temperature sensor. Additionally, the Suparule CHM300 does not require maintenance or adjustment as it is consistently reliable in the field.
The Suparule CHM300 Cable Height Meter’s simple, three-button interface means that minimal training is required to operate this instrument. It also enables measurements to be determined quickly and easily, saving the user time and money.
The Suparule CHM300 Cable Height Meter is ideal for line operators working within the electricity and telecommunications industry and provides a simple, precise and efficient alternative to traditional telescopic measuring poles.
