The Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter is a handheld, lightweight ultrasonic meter that can be used to determine cable sag, cable height, and overhead clearance of conductors. It has a maximum measurement range of 15m and determines readings for one wire at a time.
To measure cable height, the Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter emits bursts of ultrasonic sound from its cone-shaped transmitter. It then uses its microprocessor to calculate the time taken for the sound to be reflected off the cable back to the Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter. A distance is calculated using this measurement and can be displayed using either imperial or metric units.
To ensure precision and reliability, the Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter includes a temperature sensor that measures the air temperature and automatically compensates for this reading. The Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter can determine measurements to an accuracy of 0.5%. Furthermore, the Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter does not need to be adjusted in the field to maintain its reliability.
Ultrasonic measurement removes the need for contact with cables or wires, making this method inherently safe. It also enables accurate measurements to be determined quickly, saving the user time and money. The Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter is both safe and easy to use; it features a simple three-button user interface which means the user can take quick, accurate measurements with minimal training.
The Suparule CHM190 Cable Height Meter is an easy-to-use, efficient and effective alternative to traditional telescopic measuring poles. It is ideal for line operators working within the electricity and telecommunications sectors.
