The Sonel MIC-2511 tests insulation resistance at voltages up to 2500 V and incorporates a voltmeter for AC/DC voltage measurements up to 1500 V. It is compatible with the AutoISO-2511 adapter, which enables automatic insulation resistance testing of 3-, 4-, and 5-conductor cables without the need for manual switching. The device also supports continuity testing of protective conductors and equipotential bonding with a test current above 200 mA in both directions.
The MIC-2511 operates in residential and industrial settings, including motor inspection, cables, and street lighting systems. It verifies installations in photovoltaic and catenary networks, district heating, and alarm systems in pre-insulated pipes.
When working with cables, the MIC-2511 discharges the load after each insulation resistance measurement. For electrostatic discharge (ESD) zones, it pairs effectively with the PRZ-2 accessory kit to monitor and protect sensitive installations against static electricity.
Built-in help screens with clear measurement diagrams simplify the testing process. For reporting, Sonel Reports PLUS enables documentation of electric shock protection assessments, while the free Sonel Reader software provides quick access, simple data export, and printing options.
The MIC-2511 has a large internal memory capable of storing nearly 10,000 test results. These can be transferred to a computer via a USB. It has an IP65-rated casing, low power consumption, and the ability to recharge during measurements.
