These Sofamel VTAC-OA DC voltage detectors are designed for use with catenary lines. The detectors operate on direct current and have a voltage detection range of 500V to 5000V and they feature optical and acoustic alarms.

- Earthing cable: Extra flexible cable with silicon sheath and 6m long
- Insulating pole: With universal head
- Self-checking: Full self-checking system with automatic disconnection after two minutes WITHOUT DETECTION.
- Automatic start-up: Automatic start-up system using detection of voltage (approx. 400V dc)
- Electrode: Possibility of exchanging electrode
- Threshold voltage: Threshold 1 - From 350 to 490 V: Red led
- Threshold 2 - From 900 to 1100 V: Red and orange led
