These Sofamel 645 Orange Power Lights are medium electronic voltage detectors, they are designed to detect the presence of voltage through visual and acoustic signals. The instrument lights up and plays an intermittent acoustic signal through a buzzer when a voltage has been detected. Manufactured according to IEC 61243:2003+A1:2009 and UNE-EN 61243-1:2006+A1:2011 standards (except voltage range).
The detectors have a microcontroller and direct contact detection, detecting voltage by direct contact to indicate to the operator if there is an electric field and to ensure that the area is safe for work. They have a self-test system for the complete circuit by pressing the test button. Automatic shutdown to standby mode after two minutes with absence of the voltage, in this mode, the consumption is less than 1 μA.
