The Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators are analogue and vector signal sources that offer industry-leading performance in phase noise, spectral purity, bandwidth, EVM and output power. The Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators include standard waveform files and cover the most important RF (radio frequency) bands for digital communication. They are ideal for research & development (R&D), education and manufacturing applications.
There are four Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generator models available; these differ in regards to their frequency ranges as well as the inclusion of an IQ mode. Please see the table below for further information.
Model | Frequency Range | Amplitude Resolution | Phase Noise | External I/Q Modulation |
SSG5040X | CW Mode: 9 kHz-4 GHz | 0.01 dB | -120 dBc/Hz @1 GHz, offset 20 kHz (typ.) | No |
SSG5060X | CW Mode: 9 kHz-6 GHz | 0.01 dB | -120 dBc/Hz @1 GHz, offset 20 kHz (typ.) | No |
SSG5040X-V | CW MODE 9 kHz - 4 GHz | 0.01 dB | -120 dBc/Hz @1 GHz, offset 20 kHz (typ.) | Yes |
IQ MODE 10 MHz - 4 GHz | ||||
SSG5060X-V | CW Mode: 9 kHz - 6 GHz | 0.01 dB | -120 dBc/Hz @1 GHz, offset 20 kHz (typ.) | Yes |
IQ Mode: 10 MHz - 6 GHz |
The Siglent SSG5040X-V and SSG5060X-V Signal Generators include an internal IQ modulation generator, analogue differential I/Q output and external analogue I/Q input. The internal IQ modulation generator has a 150MHz bandwidth and can be used with the Siglent SSG5060X-V Signal Generator’s Waveform Playback function to create complex signal types.
The Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators have a frequency setting resolution of 0.01Hz and a maximum output power of up to +26 dBm.
The Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators are able to provide AM, FM and PM analogue modulation with an internal, external or internal + external source. They also include the following standard digital communication waveform files: 5G-NR, LTE, WCDMA, WLAN, Bluetooth and CDMA. Additionally, the Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators feature user-programmable flatness correction and USB-power meter measurement.
Furthermore, the Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators include support for a single pulse, double pulse and pulse train generator.
Accessing the required settings and functions is easy via the Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators’ 5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. These signal sources also support operation via a mouse and keyboard, as well as web browser remote control using a PC or mobile terminals.
Finally, the Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators include the following interfaces USB host, USB device (USB TMC), and LAN (VXI-11, Socket, Telnet). They also include support for an OPTIONAL GPIB.
The Siglent SSG5000X Signal Generators are powerful and cost-effective analogue and vector signal sources.
