These digital oscilloscopes have been designed with flexibility and longevity in mind; in addition to their comprehensive array of features, making them suitable for general laboratory tasks, the Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes are field-upgradeable. Their maximum bandwidths can be increased as required (max 500 MHz) and these units may be upgraded to include OPTIONAL 12S, CAN-FD, FlexRay and MIL-1553B decoding functions, allowing the user to adapt his/her oscilloscopes to future requirements. The OPTIONAL Power Analysis function automatically analyses the performance of common power supply characteristics; this data is viewable via the Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscope's display. The OPTIONAL Power Analysis function can be used with Siglent current and differential voltage probes.
The OPTIONAL built-in 50Hz function generator is designed for use with the Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes’ Bode Plot function (included as standard) enabling convenient, cost-effective (additional instruments are not required) frequency analysis.
The Bode Plot function is of particular use when developing switch-mode power supplies (SMPS). It provides an easy way to measure Phase and Gain margin of feedback loop systems and can be used to ascertain the stability of SMPS’ designs.
In addition to the Bode Plot function, the standard functions included on the Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes are Serial Bus Trigger, and 12C, UART, SPI, LIN and CAN decoding. These digital oscilloscopes also include a Sequence mode designed to increase the waveform capture rate (up 500 000 wfm/s) which, in turn, reduces the possibility of missing critical events. Moreover, ‘dead time’ is reduced by up to four times, increasing the efficiency with which engineers can find signal anomalies.
Further to this, the Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscope features a 10-bit acquisition mode which utilises oversampling to achieve a higher resolution. The high resolution provided by the 10-bit mode combined with the digital oscilloscopes' lowest vertical setting (500µV/div) ensures that they are able to detect the slightest signal details.
A Special mode is also included as standard; it can be used to optimise memory space. These four-channel Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes are supplied with two GS/s ADCs and two 200 Mpts memory modules. The increased memory depth ensures a high sample rate at larger time/div settings, thereby providing the user with detailed data when analysing high-frequency content in slow-changing signals despite timebase settings.
Accessing the required features, functions and settings, as well as operating the Siglent SDS2000X Plus Super Phosphor Oscilloscopes is easy due to the simple-to-use interface, 10-inch touchscreen, integrated web-server and external mouse and keypad.
