The Seaward Clare HAL LED model is a production line safety tester with reduced power measurement range and greater resolution than the HAL104 and is designed to be used on low power electronics such as LED lights and other luminaires.
This multifunctional safety tester includes a huge range of electrical safety testing procedures - it can perform earth/ground bond, AC/DC flash/hipot, DC insulation resistance, leakage, load power (200mVA resolution for low power electronics) and also has ARC detection and power factor modes.
With Seaward HAL units, production line safety testing is made simple. You can set up a comprehensive automatic testing sequence to automate your safety tests, with all results stored in the tester's internal memory, or you can instead take full control over testing procedures with the manual mode. By connecting the HAL LED to a PC you can control the unit remotely (requires optional e-Base software package), transfer results and perform further analysis after testing is completed.
Every HAL unit includes internal memory storage, with space for up to 6000 records. You can store results alongside details of the product, the user who performed the test, the product's location, the site you were working at and even store date/time stamps so you know exactly when everything was done.
Additional features of this tester include a large size, full graphical display, 4 wire earth ground bond measurements, the ability to connect to optional printers/barcode scanners and it also starts up fast to ensure you can get more done.
The outputs of the HAL LED are fully isolated in compliance with EN50191.
Seamlessly Works with Seaward Safety e-Base Production Line Safety Software*
*Please note that this software package is sold separately
Take complete control over your HAL104 with Safety e-Base software for your PC.
With this software, you'll be able to create totally customisable test sequences which can be fully operated via a PC from a safe, convenient location, even if that's away from the production line.
A customisable user interface allows you to provide user prompts with texts and pictures (ideal for training new operators) and you can be guided step-by-step through the testing process, reducing human error and ensuring higher levels of productivity.
e-Base also has the added benefit of totally traceable results with virtually unlimited storage on your PC or network drive.
Features include:
- Reduce human error and increase efficiency with PC remote control
- Programme test sequences to start on customisable trigger commands
- Customise test sequences for different products and standards - ensure your test system will withstand the test of time
- Improve traceability and auditability - store test results automatically to your PC
- Programme user prompts in text/picture format to make the process easier for new operators
System Integration Options
As mentioned above the Seaward HAL LED Tester can be controlled remotely via the user's PC, enabling automated operation. It can also communicate with a PLC (programmable logic controller) and supports the following advanced integration options:
- Analogue Inputs - allow tests to be recorded directly on the HAL104 from external devices (such as recording the speed of a motor while in use)
- Digital Outputs - control external devices using relay control (for example switching matrices)
- Flexible Design - full compatibility with PowerSmart and SwitchSmart optional modules enabling advanced automation
In addition to this, Seaward offers a number of smart modules, accessories, and consumables designed to improve the functionality of the HAL Tester, as well as the productivity and traceability of production line testing regimes. Moreover, Seaward's enclosures, beacons, and hand switches can be used to ensure compliance with the EN50191 standard for the safe erection and operation of electrical enclosures.
