The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester Pro Bundle Kit includes the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester and Seaward Test ‘n’ Tag Pro Bundle. Please see the descriptions below for further information.
The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester has been optimised for performing extensive PAT checks on high-volumes of portable appliances. As such it includes a large memory, with the capacity to hold up to 10 000 records, and an extensive selection of electrical tests, these include:
This instrument is also capable of performing point-to-point fixed appliance testing for earth continuity and insulation resistance. These electrical tests can be organised into up to one-hundred user-customised visual and electrical test sequences. This extensive selection of tests makes the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester suitable for checking appliances in accordance with the IET 5th Edition Code of Practice.
In addition to this, it is possible for the user to determine a suggested retest period using the Apollo 500+’s integrated electrical risk assessment tool with a retest calculator.
Furthermore, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester is a more sophisticated version of the Seaward Apollo 500 PAT Tester and to this end includes a number of improvements made to its software compatibility, hardware and firmware.
Software Compatibility
The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester is compatible with Seaward’s PATGuard 3.4 Software with Time Manager (NOT included). This software can be used to arrange data collected by the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester into reports, as well as create invoices. In addition to this, the Time Manager feature on this program is optimised for aiding the user with organising teams of workers.
As well as downloading data to the user’s PC, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester’s Bluetooth communication allows the operator to send information to his/ her compatible tablet or smartphone. Additionally, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester is compatible with selected printers and scanners allowing the user to send information directly to print and/or access information contained within barcode labels (see the description for the Seaward Test ‘n’ Tag Pro Bundle).
Firmware Features
In addition to its software compatibility updates, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester also includes a number of improvements made to its firmware. These new features have been added in order to improve the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester’s versatility and adaptability. They include:
The new 5th Edition firmware will also be available to download free of charge for current Apollo users who will be able to update to the new firmware and benefit from the new test features.
Note: in existing Apollos touch current tests will be limited by the hardware to 3.5mA.
Hardware Features
Despite the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester having been altered and updated to facilitate greater versatility and adaptability, its design still includes physical features, such as a QWERTY keyboard and high-definition, colour display, that proved practical and convenient on the Apollo 500.
In addition to these features, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester includes an interchangeable, rechargeable battery pack. This works to reduce downtime, especially as the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester can also be powered using a mains supply.
Finally, the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester is supplied with a wiring harness, test leads with strong PVC insulation and resilient test probes. All these accessories help to make the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester better suited to demanding applications, again, expanding the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester’s scope-for-use.
The Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester is a sophisticated instrument capable of performing extensive PAT checks on a wide variety of portable appliances.
The 2020 5th edition hardware update also allows for the increase in protective and touch leakage limits to 5mA rather than 3.5m.A.
The Seaward Test ‘n’ Tag Pro Bundle Kit includes instruments optimised to help realise the printing and scanning capabilities of the Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester. The instruments in this bundle include:
