Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester Description

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is the entry-level model in Seaward’s Apollo+ series. It is ideal for testing workplace appliances in accordance with the IET 5^th Edition Code of Practice. Its integrated memory has the capacity to store up to 2000 tests results and 25 customised electrical and visual inspection test sequences, making this instrument ideal for mid-volumes of testing.

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is able to perform the following checks:

• Low current earth continuity tests
• Insulation resistance tests
• IEC lead tests
• Protective conductor current tests
• Touch current tests
• Load power/ current tests
• Alternative leakage current tests
• RCD tests
• Power socket tests

In addition to these extensive testing capabilities, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester can be used to perform point-to-point testing of earth continuity and insulation resistance (an optional accessory is required).

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s updated firmware, hardware, and software compatibility add to its extensive testing capabilities and expands its scope-for-use.

Firmware Update

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester includes the following updates to its firmware:

• New user permissions for Bluetooth
• An option to delete unnecessary results
• An improved data view – information can be filtered using specifications such as the PASS/ FAIL status of a particular test
• An advanced search function
• An option to print test results automatically has been included in the ‘After Test’ function
• ‘Worst’ and ‘Last’ options have been included in the leakage test setup
• Tailorable drop-down lists – unnecessary options can be deleted from predictive lists
• Information can be downloaded to an Android smartphone or tablet using the USB on-the-go technology
• Socket outlet test - the user can measure mains voltage and outlet wiring
• An option to name downloaded files using unique identifiers
• The Asset ID is displayed on each test screen
• A review step – allows the user to verify test details before adding any final comments

Hardware Update

Entering information into the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester as well as navigating its interface is made easy as a result of the Apollo 400+'s QWERTY keyboard and high-definition, colour display; features it inherits from its predecessor the Apollo 400.

New features present on the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester include an interchangeable, rechargeable battery, additional wiring harness, test leads with strong PVC insulation, and resilient test probes.  

Software Compatibility

Updates made to the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester’s hardware add to its practicality; similarly, this instrument’s software compatibility also adds to its convenience and adaptability.

The Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is Bluetooth enabled, allowing the user to transfer data wirelessly from the tester to a compatible smartphone or tablet, and/or print or scan labels using Seaward’s Bluetooth scanners and printers (NOT included).

Further to this, the Seaward Apollo 400+ PAT Tester is also compatible with Seaward’s PATGuard 3.4 Software with Time Manager. This software can be used to organise test results, create professional reports, and generate invoices. The Time Manager feature included in this software program can be used to organise and monitor teams of electricians.
