Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges – Choice of Model

The Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges use the echo-echo principle to measure the thickness of materials. They are available in two models with different measurement ranges.

The Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges are supplied with an external sensor designed for performing echo-echo measurements. The echo-echo measuring principle allows the user to determine the actual thickness of the material-under-investigation, despite the presence of a coating. This measuring capability makes the Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges suitable for conducting non-destructive measurements of the thickness of pipe walls. The pipe’s coating does not have to be removed and the thickness measurement is indicated on the display as any adjustment for coating thickness has already been taken into consideration.

In addition to the Echo-echo measuring mode, the Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges are equipped with a Pulse-echo measuring mode and a Scan mode that can be used to conduct ten measurements per second for a single point. The Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges also include a Zeroing function ensuring that measurements can be conducted accurately, efficiently and repeatedly.

Moreover, the user is able to view measurements in either mm or inches and can save data to the Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges’ internal memories. The Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges are able to store up to twenty files with one-hundred measurements in each file. Information can be transferred to a printer or PC using the included RS-232 data interface.

The Sauter TN-EE Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges are also supplied with a rugged carrying case, as well as two 1.5V AA batteries. These battery-powered ultrasonic thickness testers are also equipped with an Auto-off function thereby preserving battery power and reducing the instruments’ downtime.
