Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands – Choice of Motor

The Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands can be used to measure horizontal force. They are compatible with all of Sauter’s force measuring instruments with a maximum range of 500N (NOT included). These test stands can be purchased with a number of fixing options in order to accommodate Sauter’s 500N force measuring instruments (NOT included, see ‘Accessories’).  

The Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands are available in two models that differ in regards to their motors and subsequently their speed ranges. Please see the table below for further details.

Due to the inclusion of a Step motor, the Sauter THM 500N500S Step Motor Motorised Horizontal Test Stand can be used to conduct tests at the minimum speed and with a full load. It is also capable of providing the user with a constant speed between the smallest and maximum load. Additionally, the user is able to adjust the process speed precisely using the information indicated on the test stand’s display. The Sauter THM 500N500S Step Motor Motorised Horizontal Test Stand offers higher positioning accuracy and precise starting and stopping (without follow-up, even at high speeds), ensuring maximum ease-of-use.

Both of the Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands are easy-to-use as each features a linear-adjustable jaw vice, allowing a clamp vice to be securely connected and finely adjusted in all directions (up, down and sideways) using the setting wheel.

Further to this, the Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands feature a premium operating panel for quickly viewing the necessary parameters and results, as well as easily adjusting the instruments as required. Via the operating panel the user is able to view the digital speed display which indicates the process speed; the Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands also include a display for the results of the Repeat function.

A Repeat function is included on the Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands to allow the user to perform fatigue tests.

The Sauter THM Motorised Horizontal Test Stands can be configured via the premium operating panel; alternatively, these instruments are compatible with Sauter’s selection of AFH software programs which can also be used to control the test stands.
