The Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Tester is available in two models. Both models are identical to one another and only differ in that the Sauter HMM-NP Mobile Leeb Hardness Tester is supplied WITHOUT an infrared wireless printer and the Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Tester is supplied WITH an IR wireless printer. However, both models feature an infrared wireless interface for transferring data to a PC or printer.
Moreover, both models are supplied with an external type-D impact sensor. The impact (rebound) sensor is supported by a spring placed against the item being tested; this accelerates the process of measuring hardness. The kinetic energy of the module is absorbed; the speed reduction is then measured and converted into a Leeb (HL) hardness value.
The Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Testers can also measure hardness in Rockwell (B & C), Vickers (HV), Brinell (HB), Shore (HSD) and tensile strength (MPa). The user is able to specify his/her preferred measurement unit and the Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Tester will automatically convert measured values into this unit, allowing the user to tailor the tester to his/her requirements.
Measurements can be saved to the Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Testers' internal memories. They have the capacity to save up to nine measurement groups with nine values in each group that form the average value.
In addition to hardness measurements, the Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Testers include a selection of statistical functions and can be set to indicate the measured value, the average value, the impact direction, and the date and time.
These instruments also feature an automatic compensation function which allows the user to conduct measurements in all directions (360°). Furthermore, this feature along with the compact design of the instruments and their external sensor ensures that they are highly mobile and flexible; this makes them suitable for conducting measurements in difficult-to-reach places.
Adding to these units' practicality is the robust carrying case in which they are delivered, as well as their battery operation; whilst the supplied calibration block allows the user to verify and maintain the specified accuracy of the Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Testers.
The Sauter HMM Mobile Leeb Hardness Testers are easy-to-use, adaptable and practical hardness testers.
