Sauter FC Digital Force Gauge – Choice of Model

The Sauter FC Digital Force Gauge is available in five models with different ranges. Please see the table below for further information.

All these models can be used to measure tensile and compressive force in N, kg, oz or lb. The user is able to switch between these measurement units as desired allowing him/her to tailor the Sauter FC Digital Force Gauge to the application.

In addition to this, it is possible to program the Sauter FC Digital Force Gauges to include tolerance ranges. Upper and lower limits can be set between 10% and 100% of the MAX value and can be applied to push and pull directions. If either of these limits is breached the Sauter FC Digital Force Gauge will issue a visual and audible alarm. Furthermore, these instruments will issue an automatic audible and visual alarm if the load exceeds 110% of the measuring range, thereby adding to the safety of these gauges.

They also feature a light-up capacity bar which indicates the remaining measurement range. The capacity bar and numerical measurements are viewable via the turnable display with backlight. Via this display the user can view the most current measurement; he/she can utilise the Track function in order to receive continuous measurement updates every ten seconds. Alternatively, he/she may activate the Peak-Hold function to view the greatest reading measured over the course of the testing period. The Sauter FC Digital Force Gauges also include a Zeroing function allowing the user to reset the display to nought.

Measurements can be saved to the Sauter FC Digital Force Gauges’ internal memories. They have the capacity to save up to 500 results which may be transferred to a PC via their USB interfaces or can be sent to print via their RS-232 interfaces and a compatible, OPTIONAL Kern printer (see ‘Accessories’). Values are printed with the date and time.

The Sauter FC Digital Force Gauges are supplied with Sauter’s standard attachments; again adding to their adaptability and expanding their scope-for-use. They are also supplied with a rechargeable battery pack, a mains adapter and a hard carrying case optimised for protecting the gauges during transit.

Also adding to the physical longevity of these instruments’ is their durable metal housings, which makes them suitable for use in harsh environments. In addition to this, the selectable Auto-Off function can be engaged in order to extend the battery life, thereby reducing downtime.
