Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software

The Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software is ideal for managing data for force penetration and pull-out tests, as well as a number of other force measurements that are dependent on displacement. It is able to facilitate data transfer from compatible Sauter meters and can organise these measurements into a free data format and/or a graph such as a force progression graph.

The Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software is compatible with Sauter’s FC, FH and FL Digital Force Gauges and is supplied with RS-232 and USB interface cables to facilitate data transfer from these instruments to the user’s PC. The Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software will request measurements from the connected force gauge at the same time as requesting readings from the connected, compatible length measuring instrument, for instance, a Sauter LB Digital Length Measuring Meter.

It is possible to configure the software and connected instruments to facilitate continuous data transfer to the user’s PC. When recording data acquired by the Sauter FH and LB instruments, the Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software is able to record measurements at a rate of 3Hz; this increases to 25Hz when the software is used with the Sauter LD Measurement System. The Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software is able to receive measurements from the aforementioned instruments when they are used with test stands or when they are used with mechanical testing machines.

Measurements acquired from both of the connected instruments are then organised to create graphs and/or a free data format that can be exported into Microsoft Excel® for further analysis.

The Sauter AFH FD Force/ Displacement Data Transfer Software also includes a number of analysis functions, such as:

• Extent of the Test Object
• Tensile and Compressive Force
• Endurance Testing

It can also be used to archive the recorded data.
