This tester is used for accurately testing RCDs installed within electrical systems to ensure they correctly engage when current unbalance is detected.
Robin-Amprobe's range of RCD testers consists of two devices. The first of these is the KMP7020, which includes a fast trip function. This tester, the KMP7021, includes a ramp testing function instead of the fast trip function of the KMP7020.
Both testers are suitable for testing on a wide range of RCD types thanks to their three selectable trip currents of X1/2, X1 and X5 which are selectable via the use of a rotary dial on the body of the tester. Additional selectable functions include a test initiation button, phase switch ports for the connections of test leads.
The tester is also CAT III 300V safety rated.
