The Robin Amprobe KMP7010 is used for evaluating whether grounding systems are functioning correctly in order to ensure that grounding is correctly implemented and diverts electrical current away safely.
When testing the KMP7010 evaluates that the level of resistance on a grounding system is low enough for protection and accurately tests earth ground resistance using either 3 point (fall of potential) or 2 point testing procedures. To ensure measurements are as accurate as possible a voltage measurement will also be taken, preventing false resistance measurements from being taken.
Earth resistance measurements are carried out over three ranges: 0 to 40Ω, 0 to 400Ω and 0 to 4000Ω. Voltage measurements are carried out between a range of 0 to 400V AC.
Built-in memory on the KMP7010 allows it to store 20 measurements directly and it also includes a temporary data hold function for storing a value on the screen but not in the memory.
Fully compliant with CAT III 400V, this tester provides an extremely safe way of testing earth grounding systems.
