Portable, powerful and extremely useful for any excavation professional, the Genny4 sends out a diverse selection of signals to accurately determine underground utility location and provides the user with a safe map in order to dig safely and without damage to gas pipes, water pipes, fibre optic cabling, network cabling and other utilities.

The signal output by the Genny4 is sent out through the ground underfoot, bounces off utilities and returns up out of the ground into a CAT4 product from Radiodetection. A genny is essential for use in areas with utilities that don't generate signals naturally such as piping, as these may have went unnoticed when just using a standard CAT.

Like most standard gennys, the Genny4 uses a normal 33kHz signal as standard for general purpose location work. A Small Diameter Locate frequency can also be generated to find utilities such as telecoms and street lighting (including spurs) while a Signal Boost function can be used to delve deeper into the ground and locate utilities over further distances. The Signal Boost function includes the ability to gradually increase the signal generated up to a factor of ten and makes the uses of this Genny countless. All signals are high class, simultaneous dual-frequency and ensure that accurate readings are always taken.

A number of accessories (sold separately) are compatible with this Genny and integrate directly into a dedicated accessory socket. Optional accessories for this unit are signal clamps for direct measurements on a pipe or cable up to 220mm in diameter, a 'mouse' self-contained signal transmitter which can be attached to a push-rod, live/plug cable connectors, FlexiTrace cable reel for seeing inside pipes and a high strength Neodymium magnet.
