PASS PPC-24 Process Calibrator / Volt mA Calibrator
The PASS PPC-24 Process Calibrator is a compact device designed for measuring or outputting 0-24 mA DC loops and 0-20 V DC voltage. Its wide screen ensures comfortable reading.
The PPC-24 is as a versatile instrument for measuring and providing a DC loop ranging from 0 to 24 mA with an impressive accuracy of 0.015%. Additionally, it can handle DC voltage measurements within the 0-20 V range, maintaining an accuracy of approximately +/- 0.02%.
An advantage of this type of instrument is its ability to calibrate without removing the target instrument from the process. It's also preferable to calibrate an instrument in its actual operating environment. However, not all quantities can be handled this way. Currently, on-site calibrators are primarily used for electrical signals and temperature.
The calibrator serves two primary functions. First, it simulates or generates precisely defined values for a signal, which are applied upstream in the measurement chain. Second, it measures the signal. If a panel meter is present at the chain's end, you can compare its value with the calibrator's indication. Without a panel meter, the simulated input value is compared directly to the signal measured by the calibrator.
When operating independently on battery power, the process calibrator provides an extended battery life for field use. When connected to the mains, it can be used continuously without any time restrictions.
