The PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display is a panel meter designed to measure current loop between 4 and 20mA. However, this current loop meter is also capable of measuring current loop between 10 and 50mA, and 0 and 50mA.
The PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display is part of PanelPilot’s SGD M-Series of Programmable Panel Meters/ Displays, please see the video below for a brief introduction to this range.
As indicated above, the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display can be configured to suit the user’s requirements. It is configured using the free PanelPilot Software available for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. This software includes a number of current loop meter-type configurations and can be used to program the following parameters:
Additional meter-type configurations can be downloaded from PanelPilot’s subscription service. Please note that the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display is not compatible with dual-channel meter-type configurations.
Upon completion, configurations are uploaded to the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display via a ‘Type A to Mini-B’ USB cable. Transferring and affecting completed configurations takes approximately fifteen seconds.
In addition to configuring the functionality of the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display, the user can customise the panel meter’s appearance. This current loop meter features a 3.5”, TFT display with 16-bit colour depth and a resolution of 320 x 240px; all graphics uploaded to the panel meter are automatically converted to a specification supported by the display.
To ensure that measurements are indicated to the best resolution, the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display includes Programmable Gain Amplifiers (PGAs) which select the smallest range able to accommodate both of the input voltages entered during scaling. Readings can be retained on the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Panel Meter’s screen using the Display Hold function.
The PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display also includes provisions for future expansion using data buses and alarm outputs.
Additionally, this panel meter can be installed onto panels between 1 and 3mm deep using a selection of methods. It is supplied with a panel fixing clip; required connections can be made using either the four screw terminals or the DIL IDC socket.
Finally, to improve installation on thin panels the PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display includes a silicone seal.
The PanelPilot SGD 35-M420 3.5” Programmable Current Loop Display is an affordable, adaptable and easy-to-install panel meter optimised for current loop measurements.
