PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display

The PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display is a flexible, adaptable and easy-to-configure panel meter optimised for measuring current loop. Please see the following video for a brief introduction to PanelPilot's M Series of Programmable Displays/ Panel Meters. 

This model is able to measure current loop between 4 and 20mA and features Programmable Gain Amplifiers to ensure each measurement is displayed to the best available resolution. To ensure the best resolution, the PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display uses the smallest range able to accommodate the two input voltages entered during scaling.

Current loop measurements may be retained on the 2.4”, TFT, colour display using the Display Hold function. The PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Panel Meter’s display has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and 16-bit colour depth. It is also fitted with a resistive touchscreen.

The PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display can be programmed using the free PanelPilot Software available for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. Multiple meter configurations are included for free with this software, allowing the user to tailor the PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display to suit his/her specific application. This software can also be used to configure the following parameters:

• Meter type
• Text labels (including units and graph labels)
• Background, graph segment and text colours
• Input scaling/ calibration (at two points)
• Decimal points (entered during scaling)
• Splashscreen image (the user can select an image, for instance, a logo, to appear upon start-up)

Upon completion, user-specified settings can be uploaded to the PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display via a Type A to Mini B USB Cable. Transferring and affecting the programmed configuration takes on average 15 seconds.

The PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display is also able to derive a power source via a USB connection. This panel meter has a wide operating voltage range: 4V to 30V DC.

The PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display can be mounted in place using the supplied panel fixing clip. Its four screw terminals facilitate connections to the inputs. It is possible to mount the PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display to panels up to 3mm deep. Furthermore, to improve installation on thin panels, the PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display is supplied with a silicone seal (max depth is limited to 2mm when the unit is used with the silicone seal.)

To provide an alternative to screw-terminal connections, the PanelPilot SGD 24-M420 2.4” Programmable Current Loop Display includes a DIL IDC socket. This panel meter is also able to support expansions using data buses and alarm outputs, ensuring it can support future demands.
