The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments has been optimised for the oil and gas industries. This compact, portable, battery-powered instrument is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials and has an IP rating of 65/67 making it suitable for use on ship decks, oil rigs and refineries.
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments is designed for measuring torque and can be used with a variety of Norbar’s HE (Harsh Environment) Transducers to do so; it has a Class 1 accuracy over the ‘Primary’ classification range: ±0.5% of the reading from 20 to 100% of the full scale. To ensure the accuracy of this instrument, it is supplied with a bi-directional calibration (clockwise and anti-clockwise).
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments is able to display torque measurements in thirteen user-selectable torque units; it also able to support additional user-specified measurement units with a maximum of six characters. This instrument is able to accommodate multiple scales; it will indicate measurements via its 240 x 64-pixel dot matrix display with a refresh rate of twice per second and a resolution of five digits.
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments includes a pictorial display allowing the user to select his/her desired mode of operation quickly and easily; it is also able to display text in eleven user-selectable languages. The user is able to choose from six modes of operation, as well as ten measurement modes. The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments includes a Pulse Count feature that can be used in its Impulse Tool and Clutch Tool modes.
The operator is also able to customise the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments to include a selectable frequency response for each mode of operation. The instrument's programmable, selectable features are password protected ensuring that only the required modes of operation and units of measurement are available, thereby reducing the possibility of erroneous results caused by human errors.
The user is also able to program the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester to include up to twelve pairs of torque limits. All the features present on the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester are in common with Norbar’s TTT and TST Torque/ Screwdriver Testers.
Like Norbar’s TTT and TST Testers, the Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments is supplied with a robust carry case (IP67). Similarly, whilst this instrument supports battery operation it can also be powered using an AC power supply.
The Norbar TTL-HE Torque Tester Lite for Harsh Environments is ideal for measuring torque in environments with high levels of humidity, water spray, salt water spray and excessive dust.
